Reimagining Shawn Kemp’s iconic signature sneaker as skateboarding-ready, the Canadian label has converted the ’90s staple into a low-top silhouette. Shades of “Royal/Sonic Green,” “Black/White” and yellow/black adorn each of the three pairs in the forthcoming collection.

With ComplexCon Chicago right around the corner, Converse has readied several new collaborative projects, and one of the most compelling is unquestionably Chinatown Market‘s duo of UV light-activated takes on the converse skate shoes. When exposed to direct sunlight, the shoe’s eggshell white canvas upper switches shades, morphing into a wild and whimsical combo of blue, orange, fuschia and purple.
